Business Development Manager, Sydney

Our client for this role is an Australian success story founded in Sydney, now also with an office in the US and active in other international markets. They are a highly acclaimed creative services and production business which produces very high-end graphics for international events (Olympic Games, Asian Games), and TVC's.
They also produce cutting edge interactive and experiential media for product launches and major corporate exhibitions (their current clients include some of the world’s leading auto manufacturers).

The business is seeking an experienced and accomplished business development professional to leverage their international reputation and credibility and sell their services here in the Australian market. (Virtually all of their business is international and they have not yet focused on the local market). The role involves the entire business development process from lead creation through proposal and pitch to closing the deal. Base circa $150K (and OTE 225+) depending on experience. Significant earning and career development potential for the right person.

To be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate:
•    Experience selling highly customised and high-value creative and technical services;
•    At least ten years successful business development experience selling services in consultative selling contexts;
•    Experience selling services to corporate, agency and to government clients;
•    Experience implementing and operating a solid methodology and structure around the BD process;
•    The ability to operate independently and reliably in the role -- including end-to-end business development experience from creating leads through preparing detailed knock-out proposals and pitches to negotiating a close;
•    A very strong and leverageable network in multiple business sectors, preferably including agencies.
•    Knowledge of marketing and PR for lead generation and brand development preferred;
•    Referees that will testify not only to your success but also your integrity, professionalism and ability to work effectively as a senior member of a cross functional executive team.
